Applicants to the 101 College Street Community Scholarship must:
Currently reside in New Haven’s Hill, Downtown, or Dwight neighborhoods; and
Currently be enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University or at Gateway Community College and pursuing bioscience-related coursework; or
Be a high school senior, high-school graduate, or GED recipient who plans to enroll at Southern Connecticut State University or at Gateway Community College and pursue bioscience-related coursework; or
Adult members of New Haven Works who are pursing, or intend to pursue, bioscience-related coursework at Southern Connecticut State University or at Gateway Community College.
To apply for the 101 College Street Community Scholarship, you will need to:
Fill out this application.
Submit an essay that describes your career and/or academic goals. What have you done to achieve these goals? What are your plans to continue to work towards achieving your goals in the future? The essay should be between 1,000-1,500 words.
Submit high school or college transcripts or GED certificate, as applicable.
Present proof of membership to New Haven Works, as applicable.
